Strengthening Collaboration within the Neurocenter Finland’s Nodes

Representatives from Tampere Brain and Mind recently visited TBMC to learn more about its operational model, educational activities, and research environment. The visit provided insights into multidisciplinary brain and mind research in Turku and the ongoing collaboration among academia, healthcare, and research infrastructures.

During the visit, Professor Hasse Karlsson presented the starting point of TBMC and its subsequent development since its inception. Then, they visited the Turku PET Centre to learn about the production and application of PET.

A key focus of the visit was introducing the Master’s Programme in Human Neuroscience, as well as the core curriculum and training we provide to students. The meeting also aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two Brain & Mind networks through future joint initiatives, the exchange of experiences, and the sharing of educational and research activities.
